Refer a Family

Working with a family who could benefit from our support? Let’s talk.

Why work with Good Enough Start

We’re a non-clinical parent-infant relationship service, which means we offer a warm, judgement-free space that sits alongside, not instead of, the clinical and statutory support families may already be receiving.

Our approach is shaped by an understanding of how babies develop emotionally, and how early relationships influence their sense of safety and connection. We focus on practical, everyday changes that make a real difference, delivered by trained professionals who understand how demanding early parenthood, and frontline work with families can be.

Sometimes the right support is a conversation, not a referral. If you’d like to talk through a family’s situation, understand what we offer, or explore how our services might complement your own, get in touch and we can arrange a time to chat.

We’re committed to advancing the understanding of parent-infant relationships, drawing on clinical expertise, emerging research, and real-world practice to inform how professionals support families.

This is where we share our thinking: reflections on the latest evidence in infant mental health, responses to current research, and our perspective on the issues shaping practice today. Whether it’s a shift in policy, a new study, or a conversation we think the sector needs to be having, we aim to bring a grounded, informed voice to the table.

We write for practitioners, commissioners, and anyone working to strengthen early relationships — because good infant mental health depends on all of us staying curious, informed, and willing to keep learning.
