Whether you’re painting, squishing, splashing, or just watching your baby’s curiosity grow, every moment at Together Time helps strengthen your relationship and support their early learning. No need to book—just come along and enjoy the fun!

Get in touch

Our Together Time sessions are led by a qualified Parent Infant Relationship Practitioner trained in Assessing Parent Infant Relationships, with Brazelton Newborn Behavioural Observation qualifications. Drawing on attachment theory and infant mental health research, we gently support the relationship between you and your baby in a warm, welcoming group space. Every session is planned with the parent-infant relationship at its heart — so what looks like simple play is always designed to support how you and your baby connect, communicate, and respond to one another.

Learn more about our team

Being alongside other families who truly understand where you are right now can be just as powerful as any professional support.

Why the Early Relationship is so Important

The early years lay the foundation for your baby’s future. A strong, secure relationship helps your baby grow with confidence, emotional resilience, and the ability to communicate their needs. By tuning into their emotions and responding with care, you’re ensuring you’re giving them a good enough start in life.

What to expect

Sensory Play – Hands-on, creative activities designed to spark curiosity and exploration.

Responsive Parenting – Discover how playtime strengthens your baby’s emotional security and helps them feel safe and understood.

Parent Reflection – Explore how your own emotions and past experiences shape the way you interact with your child.

A Supportive Community – Meet other parents, share experiences, and build friendships in a relaxed and welcoming space.

A Listening Ear – Our friendly Parent Infant Practitioners are here to offer guidance and support in a warm, understanding environment.

How We Support You

During each session, we include gentle check-ins where you can reflect on how you feel before and after. These moments help us understand how the sessions support your confidence, emotional connection, and self-awareness—but more importantly, they give you a chance to see your own growth over time.

We also offer ‘Relationship Check-Ins’, where our Parent Infant Relationship Practitioner provides informal, supportive feedback on your interactions with your baby. These check-ins are not assessments, but a way to celebrate your strengths and offer guidance if you’d like it. Everything is confidential and completely optional, and you can opt-out at any time.

Feeling unsure about coming along?

Some parents come to us bursting with confidence, just looking for something fun to do together. Others come because they’re finding bonding harder than they expected, recovering from a difficult birth or pregnancy, or simply feeling overwhelmed by early parenthood. Both — and everything in between — are completely welcome here. You don’t need a reason to come, and you don’t need to have it all figured out. If you have any questions or aren’t sure if this group is the right fit, feel free to reach out! We’re happy to chat and can help signpost you to the support that best meets your needs.

FAQs

Do I need to book in advance?

No booking is required! Just come along on Thursday mornings at 10 AM and have fun.

What age group is this for?

Together time is perfect for babies and toddlers who love to explore! The activities are safe and suitable for little ones from birth to 2 years.

Will my baby get really messy?

We recommend bringing a change of clothes for your baby just in case!

Do I need to bring any materials?

Nope! We provide all the materials—just bring your baby and a willingness to get a little messy.

What if my baby isn’t interested in messy play?

That’s okay! Some babies take time to get used to new textures. They can watch, explore at their own pace, or just enjoy the social time with other babies.

What are ‘Relationship Check-Ins’?

These are gentle, informal observations by our Parent Infant Relationship Practitioner, designed to celebrate the strengths in your relationship with your baby. They’re not assessments, and you can opt-out at any time.

I’ve never been to a baby group before—can I still come?

Of course! We welcome all parents and caregivers, whether it’s your first group or your tenth. If you’re feeling unsure, drop us a message and we’ll be happy to chat before you come along.

For many families, Together Time is where something shifts — but it’s only the beginning of the support we offer.

If, during a session, we notice you or your baby might benefit from more focused support, we’ll gently let you know what’s available — whether that’s a closer look through a Relationship Check-In, a confidential conversation through Time to Talk Together, or simply pointing you toward another service. There’s no pressure, and you’re always in control of what happens next.

For Health & Family Professionals

Health visitors, midwives, social workers, and other family practitioners are welcome to refer families directly into our relationship support services. There’s no referral form to fill in — simply speak with the family first to let them know we’ll be in touch, then email us their details at info@goodenoughstart.org and we’ll take it from there.

You might consider a referral if you notice a parent and baby who could benefit from some extra support to build their connection — for example, where a parent seems unsure how to engage with their baby’s cues, finds it hard to find enjoyment in time together, or seems disconnected or overwhelmed during interactions. This isn’t about identifying a problem — many parents simply benefit from a low-pressure space to practise and build confidence in getting to know their baby.

How we work alongside families

I love attending the groups with the children I care for. Everyone is so friendly, it’s a brilliant opportunity to share ideas and experiences with others.
